Qia b.v. is a share holding company for a variety of activities.
Qia started in 1994 and decided to change its structure to a b.v. (share ownership) in 1996. I started with Qia after a long career in automation and computers (Burroughs / Unisys), partly in the USA. Upon my return from America I was asked by Philips to assist in the creation of a Consumer oriented PC acitivity. After having done this for approx. 10 years the basic 'trading genes' surfaced more and more. Philips has played a very pleasant and important part in my life but the politics and continuous reorganisations inherent in a very large company eventually made to orient myself in a different direction.
I created Qia b.v., which is mostly oriented at business services. We assist companies with buying and selling. Approximately 6 years ago we were asked to look for specialized cleaners and protectors for sensitive surfaces. This eventually led to the establishment of the CleanSafe brand. Most of our acitvities are based on joint ventures and outsourcing. This keeps us flexible and creates maximum dedication of all involded parties.
The sales of our products are done through OEM organisations and Distributors in all parts of the world.
For many of our activities the Web / Internet is steadily increasing in importance.
To not re-invent the wheel time and time again we decided to build and invest in a variety of tools to support our distributors and our own operations to use Internet in an optimal way.
Therefore our tools are primarily operation and market driven and are adjusted to the day to day market challenges continuously.
Over time we discovered that the developed tools were also of interest to other parties then our distributors and we gradually started marketing them.
Today we are able to support a wide variety of tools which support especially mid range companies to use the many Internet possibilities very effectively.
